Brad and I while working our normal week jobs had a phone call from a good friend who owned some amusement rides wondering if we could help him out as he was short staffed, so we went and worked on his ferris wheel and bungee trampolines.

Our first amusement rides was with Kids on Quads in December 2007.

After working quite a few times for him Brad got the bug and wanted his own amusement rides so, in December 2007 we set up KIDS ON QUADS.

It was just Brad and me - and our very first job was at Maitland Markets - right before Christmas. We started at 8.00am and finished at 2.00pm and in that time we did not have time for a break as we were flat out. At the end of the day we just looked at each other and felt like all the hard work we had done had paid off.

We gradually started to get more and more work from people seeing us at the markets which meant we needed more staff. After employing more staff and going to more and more events we realised there were even more opportunities out there so we started to add to our collection. We purchased the Trackless Train and straight away got a few enquiries, then came the merry-go-round.

With all the events we starting to go to, there was always another lead for another job and we were always receiving enquiries about jumping castles. We purchased a small party castle and from one birthday party we have since had 5 others that all attended that very first party. As we have added more and more products to our fleet of amusement rides, the name Kids On Quads was restricting us with our advertising as it appeared that we had no other rides available so we decided to set up a company which resulted in Hunter Valley Amusement Hire Pty Ltd.
